Sam Ong

Assistant Director

An avid adventurer, Sam has kayaked in multiple countries. After surviving a life-threatening leptospirosis infection from kayaking in contaminated rapids in the remote regions of Northern Thailand, his appreciation for UN SDG Goal 6 (clean water & sanitation) could not have been higher. An Environmental Engineer by training and alumnus of CEE, the opportunity to work at NTU’s Sustainability Office was not to be missed. Prior to joining NTU, Sam was leading environmental-sustainability related projects. When not at work, Sam will find any excuse to paddle the waterways of Singapore where no kayak has been in (some locations for good reasons…)"
