Solar PV Impact
In May 2024, NTU completed its Phase 2 solar photovoltaic system with an as-built capacity of 8.6 MWp. This system generates about 9.5 million kWh of clean energy annually, enough to power over 2,870 four-room HDB flats.
NTU is actively exploring new ways to increase solar capacity, including innovative installations like solar canopies in unconventional areas across campus, to further enhance our renewable energy infrastructure.
Sustainability Training and Development for Staff and Students
Employees and students play a crucial role in fostering an environmentally friendly and sustainable campus culture across our buildings, offices, classrooms, and laboratories. NTU provides online sustainability-related training modules for all staff and students which covers social and environmental aspects of sustainability. Staff can access both internal and external sustainability-related training courses via Workday to enhance their knowledge and awareness in Sustainability.
