You are cordially invited to screening of "Revolve", a new audiovisual work result of the Master of Arts research and curatorial project MORTEM by Aura Murillo.

This exhibition is organized as part of the Global Innovation Design Master's International Exchange between the Royal College of Art, Imperial College London, and Nanyang Technological University Singapore's School of Art Design and Media.

Where: Media Art Nexus, Northspine, Nanyang Technological University Singapore
Date: 28th of January 2022 - 18th of February 2022

“MORTEM” is a design and curatorial project that explores different perceptions on death and the meaning of life. The exploration focuses on the collective and intimate aspects that experiencing death conveys to create tangible interventions that can elicit emotions and invite reflection. The project was first presented from the 20th to the 22nd of January through a series of works in sensorial exhibition in ONEROOM Gallery London and now arrives in Singapore with the audiovisual piece “Revolve”. The piece explores a South-Eastern perception of life and death through the path from the underworld, to earth, and finally the achievement to enlightenment. This way of approaching death proposes that this event is not the end of life, but a chapter of an ongoing cycle where our souls have the possibility of transcending to become something beautiful beyond death.

Participating Artists: Pierre Engelhard and Nicola Perikhanyan in collaboration with Tiago Costas, Alexandra Pouta, and Eliran Kadussi.

Supervising Faculty from School of Art, Design and Media NTU, RCA and Imperial College London: Peer M. Sathikh, Ina Conradi, Adeleine Daysor, John Stevens, Jack Mama.
