Cinema Reclaimed: DRIVING, KICKING, AND PUNCHING!

ADM’s Senior Lecturer Ben Slater is curating the third edition of Cinema Reclaimed, a programme of Singapore-made films for the National Heritage Board’s Heritagefest 2023. This year’s themes are Transport and Sport.

There will be two Malay-language films, newly subtitled, including Hantu Rimau, a mystery story anthology featuring Inspector Latiff. The first ever showing of the The Complete Hosaywood Football Shorts 2005-2020, Jacen Tan’s viral classics about space, sport and freedom; and a nearly 20th year anniversary screening of the dark Singapore thriller Perth, starring Lim Kay Tong, who will be attending the event. Also, Ben will be giving a talk with lots of clips!
