About the award: REP students were invited to the CDAC Partner Awards Presentation Ceremony 2022 to receive the award for their support and contributions to CDAC.

Description: In recognition of Buddy Tutoring’s efforts and contributions to help underprivileged children, REP students were awarded the CDAC New Partner Award during the CDAC Partner Awards Presentation Ceremony.
Buddy Tutoring (previously known as Homework Clinic) is a project of REACH, a student-initiated club run by REP students to engage with the local community. Other than academic achievements, REP students believe in giving back through projects and striving to help the underprivileged groups in society.
In 2021, the students reached out to the CDAC to collaborate on a mentoring programme to assist underprivileged primary school children. The sessions commenced officially in early 2022 where REP students host biweekly sessions on Monday and Thursday evenings to mentor the children on their academics as well as mental well-being. With the introduction of Buddy Tutoring, students hope to support and nurture children while building a community with empathy in REP.
