Chulalongkorn International Business Case Competition 2023
Name of the competition: Chulalongkorn International Business Case Competition 2023
About the competition: Chulalongkorn International Business Case Competition (CIBCC) is a competition for undergraduates from top universities around the world. Students are presented with one challenging 8-hour case and one exceptional 24-hour case spanning several industries and business disciplines. They will then present their business recommendations to Thai businesses and the event will conclude with presentations from the winners of the competition.

REP Students: Prasad Shubhangam Rajesh and Paviru Pereira
Product/Proposal: The team proposed measures to help the Government of Phuket become carbon net-zero by 2040. The case required them to gain an in-depth analysis of the steps needed to reduce carbon emissions and to increase carbon offsetting.
Description: The team came up with a unique way to incentivise businesses to make them greener in a cheaper, quicker, and systematic manner. The team also focused on increasing carbon capture rates by experimenting with an innovative and new approach using seaweed. They also utilised Google Maps data to identify the right plot of sea for this purpose.
