About the competition: Google Solution Challenge is an annual event, where university students solve one or more of the United Nations' 17 Sustainable Development Goals using Google technology. This year’s challenge is the largest thus far, with more than 2,000 submissions from participants all over the world.

Product/Proposal: HeadHome
Description: HeadHome tackles the problem of dementia wandering, by connecting dementia patients, caregivers and volunteers with the real-time HeadHome application. Wandering patients can either rely on the intuitive instructions on the dedicated HeadHome watch or their mobile application to find their way home or receive assistance from their caregivers and nearby volunteers to help them get home safely. This ensures the safety of dementia patients while reducing stress on their caregivers.
