About the Rhodes Scholarship

The oldest international scholarship programme, the Rhodes Scholarship was first awarded in 1902. It is a fully funded, full time, postgraduate award for talented young graduates from around the world to study at the University of Oxford in the UK.

What the scholarship covers

All university and college fees, the university application fee, a living stipend (£19,092 per annum in 2023/24), one economy class flight to Oxford at the start of the scholarship programme and one economy flight back to the student's home country at the conclusion of the programme.

More information can be found here.

The application period is now open and will close on 30 August 2024.

Applicants of the Rhodes Scholarship must apply under the country/territory in which they have eligibility. Click here to find out if you are eligible to apply and which constituency you should apply to.

If you have dual citizenship or have lived in several countries, choose the country you have the strongest connection to. For example, the country of your citizenship or the country you have lived in for the longest (multi-jurisdictional consideration). If you have strong and demonstrable connections to two or more Rhodes Constituencies but do not meet the eligibility criteria for any of them, you may be eligible to apply for inter-jurisdictional consideration.
