Advanced Field Course in Geology, California, USA (ES3005)

This course takes third year students in the Geosciences specialisation to some classic sites for field geology around the Sierra Nevada Mountains and Inyo Mountains ranges. Explore current geological processes and rocks as old as 300 million years with leading expertise in the field. The field setting gives unique opportunities for informal discussions and in-depth understanding of geological processes and research. Both traditional and modern tools are used and the students produce a field report.
