​Ms Junko Kimura has led IT at pharmaceutical and healthcare companies in Japan, the United States, Southeast Asia, and Asia Pacific for more than 20 years. In November 2019, she joined Gilead Sciences Japan and was responsible for promoting digital transformation as Head of IT among the various business divisions from a technology perspective.

In April 2021, she took on her current role as Head of Commercial Operations focusing on the digital transformation acceleration from data strategy within the pharma commercial business operations. She is also responsible developing a data driven culture and capability building for the organisation.
