Ms Charis Liau is a director of SDAX Financial Pte Ltd, an integrated digital financial services platform providing a full suite of solutions for asset owners and investors to access the digital asset economy. It was formed through the merger of SDAX Exchange and Minterest, which she co-founded in 2016, to build a global digital asset exchange ecosystem amidst growing demand for alternative investments.

Ms Liau has more than 20 years of professional banking and finance experience in Asian markets. As co-founder and CEO of Minterest, she was instrumental in leading and driving the digital investment platform’s strategic direction and growth, delivering a well-established distribution network with deep sectoral expertise in deal origination and proprietary credit risk models. Prior to that, she spent 13 years with Standard Chartered Bank where she held various positions spanning relationship management (Singapore and China), global corporate finance, structured finance and advisory to financial institutions, large and local corporates across Asia.

Ms Liau currently serves on the Securities Crowdfunding sub-committee of the Singapore Fintech Association. In 2021, she was recognized amongst Singapore’s 100 Women in Tech by the Singapore Computer Society and Infocomm Media Development Authority and was awarded the Top 12 Fintech Leader and Top 5 Women in Fintech awards by the Singapore Fintech Association in 2020.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy (First Class Honours) from Nanyang Business School, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore and a Certificate in Fintech from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) charterholder from the CFA Institute.
