Biography
Eric Teo has more than 25 years of accounting experience and serves as an adjunct/associate professor and consultant to various universities, both local and overseas.
At Ernst & Young (EY), Eric was a founding member of the global valuation and business modelling network's Technical Standards Group, serving on the Steering Committee. He was also involved in developing a learning curriculum and training materials for the global valuation practice.
Experienced in corporate strategy, investments and divestitures, fairness opinions, and business valuation, Eric has worked in many industries for SMEs, MNCs, and public listed groups, covering litigation support, tax planning, restructuring and compliance, capital raising, mergers and acquisitions, shareholder disputes, and financial reporting.
Eric is actively involved in the professional development and education arena, and is a regular speaker at regulatory bodies and professional organisations. Since 2000, he has been involved in postgraduate and undergraduate programmes of international institutions and universities.
Eric is a Chartered accountants (Singapore), Chartered accountants (Australia and New Zealand), CPA (Australia), Chartered Valuer and Appraiser (Singapore), Senior Fellow of Financial Services Institute of Australasia, and Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
