Mr. Lim Chow Kiat

Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, GIC Private Limited

Mr. Lim Chow Kiat is Chief Executive Officer of GIC and responsible for the overall performance and capabilities of the firm. In particular, he drives and oversees GIC’s long-term investment and organizational strategy. He joined GIC in 1993 as a portfolio manager and has held various leadership roles, including most recently, as Group Chief Investment Officer. He was previously President of Public Markets, President of Europe and Director of Fixed Income, Currency and Commodities.

Mr. Lim is the Chairman of Wealth Management Institute and serves on the boards of Nanyang Technological University, Enterprise Singapore, the National Research Foundation and Focusing Capital on the Long Term Global. He is also a member of Agence France Tresor’s Strategic Committee, the UK Government Council and the World Economic Forum International Business Council. In addition, he is also Chairman of the Investment Advisory Committee for the Lee Kuan Yew Education Fund and the Lee Kuan Yew Fund for Bilingualism.

Mr. Lim graduated with First-Class Honours in Accountancy from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
