​Developing students through mentorship programmes

Nanyang Business School (NBS) was proud to host the Harvard Business School Club of Singapore (HBSCS) Mentorship Graduation 2019 on 11 May. The event was graced by Minister for Education Mr Ong Ye Kung.

Since 2015, HBSCS has partnered Nanyang Technological University, Singapore to offer a mentorship programme for penultimate year students. 

The programme provides students with a meaningful mentoring experience focused on personal and professional development. It covers a wide range of topics which include: 
defining personal success and building self-awareness, 
developing an entrepreneurial mindset, 
living in a cross-cultural world and 
business ethics. 

Attendees at the graduation event also enjoyed a panel discussion on “Empowering the Youth for the Future” by Mr John Fitzpatrick, Head of Startup at Google, Ms Tan Shu Shan, Head of Private Banking at DBS and Mr Yuen Kuan Moon, CEO of Consumer Singapore and Group Chief Digital Officer at Singtel.

Following the panel discussion was a design thinking session by McKinsey and a fireside chat with Guest-of-Honour, Minister Ong, moderated by NBS Undergraduate Loh Qi Lu, Jane.
