Congratulations to the Winners of the APECS Venture Capital

NBS undergraduates emerge 2nd Runner Up in the APEC Venture Capital Case Competition.

The Venture Capital Case Competition (VCCC) is the first undergraduate venture capital-focused case competition in Southeast Asia. Organised by Asia Private Equity Club at Singapore Management University, this year's competition attracted 97 teams across local universities in Singapore.

Contestants were tasked to prepare an investment pitch for either Indonesia’s fisheries commerce, Aruna, or B2B spend management platform, Spenmo. The top three teams are awarded cash prizes — S$2,000 for first place, S$1,500 for second place, and S$1,000 for third place.  Amongst the 97 teams, 6 teams competed in the finals. Each team did a great job with their stellar decks of slides and comprehensive investment theses.

Team Thirteen Wonders, consisting of Lim Wei Qiang Julian (ACBS Y3, Banking and Finance), Myat Thu Soe (ACBS Y3, Business Analytics), Tay Shin Ping, Erin (ACBS Y3, Banking and Finance) and Toh Hui Ling Joceling (ACBS Y3, Banking and Finance) emerged 2nd Runner up in the case challenge.

They shared the following thoughts, “VCCC has provided the team with a platform to explore the booming Southeast Asian Venture Capital scene and an opportunity to be evaluated by industry professionals. We would like to thank SMU APECS for organising the event and the judges for their thought-provoking questions and insightful feedback.”

Heartiest congratulations to team Thirteen Wonders for emerging 2nd Runner Up in the APEC Venture Capital Case Competition.
