NTU Launches New Centre to Tackle Climate-Health Risks in Tropics
Interdisciplinary Centre to Address Climate and Public Health Issues in Southeast Asia
Singapore, 15 April 2025 – We are thrilled to share that the official launch of the Centre for Climate Change and Environmental Health (CCEH) at Nanyang Technological University (NTU) has been featured in The Straits Times!
Inaugurated by Senior Minister of State for Sustainability and the Environment, Dr. Amy Khor, the event marks the beginning of an exciting journey as we work together to address the pressing health impacts of climate change in the tropics.
CCEH is anchored on three urgent pillars — air quality, extreme heat, and water supply and quality — which are increasingly critical in Southeast Asia. The article highlights how our Centre unites researchers from across NTU’s interdisciplinary ecosystem to co-create solutions that strengthen climate and public health resilience across the region.
