Prof Soci and Prof Singh elected Fellows of The Optical Society
CDPT investigators Professor Cesare Soci and Professor Ranjan Singh have been elected as Fellows of the Optical Society (OSA), in recognition of their pioneering contributions to photonics.
The OSA is one of the leading scientific societies dedicated to the study of optics and photonics. Founded 100 years ago as The Optical Society of America, it has been known since 2008 as The Optical Society, in recognition of its global reach. Fellow membership is limited to no more than ten percent of its membership, and is reserved for members who have served with distinction in the advancement of optics and photonics.
Professor Cesare Soci was honoured for his significant contributions to the development of advanced nanophotonic materials and their device applications.
Professor Ranjan Singh was honoured for his development of active metamaterial platforms with novel dynamic material systems, including superconductors, for ultrafast switching, sensing, and communication applications.
