About the Seminar

AI is transforming management. The impossibly, fast pace at which AI is itself transforming demands researchers to ask: Will AI truly transforms how we are going to manage?

That suggests itself for a possible, a special issue in Chinese Management Studies (SSCI Journal). The journal founded by the speaker (then in NTU) as Editor (2007) with Emerald as publisher. Within four years it was indexed by SSCI 2011. The journal equaled Harvard Business Review in ranking (SCOPUS 2013), an event celebrated at Conference. China is now one of the leaders in shaping AI for industrial applications. He will draw as editor of Springer's Research Book Series, including 2024 Chinese Management Handbook, the participants’ attention to Chinese management. Thus in this ever rapidly changing world: How will AI transform corporate leaders in making strategic decisions?

For instance, corporate identity strategy: Having won a top award for his research on corporate identity strategy, the speaker then embarked on creating the world’s first artificial judge of aesthetics. That is, citing from paper "...one capable of assessing designs in a human-like fashion..." (International Journal of Artificial Intelligence and Soft Computing, Vol. 1, 2009)

Here at this NTU CEE Seminar the Speaker will touch on relevance of Sun Tzu Art of War in determining strategy. In particular oh how corporations may integrate the AI methodology (machine learning) as part of making strategic decisions, say logos. One should recognize that true competition begins at the level of the human unconscious. Besides this the speaker will discuss his other AI-related research of "Artificial and Neural Firms" (US Journal of High Technology Management) and AI for legal decisionmaking.
