Asian Young Scientist Fellowship 2024

Congratulations to Nanyang Assistant Professor Liu Ziwei for receiving the Asian Young Scientist Fellowship 2024. He has been conferred the AYS Fellow for his pioneering achievements in Generative AI.

Asian Young Scientist Fellowship (AYS Fellowship) is a privately funded research initiative in the Asian region that aims to encourage and support young scientists in Asia to conduct innovative and transformative research.

The AYS Fellowship annually selects 12 early-career researchers in fundamental science disciplines: 1) Life Sciences, 2) Physical Sciences, and 3) Mathematics and Computer Science.

We are thrilled that Asst Prof Liu is one of the 12 fellowship recipients selected in the 2024 Selection Round on August 12, 2024 by the Asian Young Scientist Fellowship. These distinguished early-career scientists from China, Hong Kong SAR, India, Japan, Korea, and Singapore have been chosen for their outstanding scientific contributions and potential in their respective fields.

Asst Prof Liu Ziwei’s contribution to the development of AI-driven mixed reality is well acknowledged. AYSF has also committed to support his exploration in the direction of high-quality reconstruction for virtual/ mixed reality toward advancing AI theories, algorithms, and systems for holistic perceptions.
