Singapore Centre for Environmental Life Sciences Engineering (SCELSE) is a multidisciplinary biofilm & microbiome research centre that tackles critical challenges in sustainability, food production, safety, and human health, especially in our urbanised world facing climate change. As a Research Centre of Excellence, SCELSE pioneers new ways to understand and control microbial communities that impact our environment, industries, and public health.

By leveraging cutting-edge technologies in science and engineering, SCELSE explores how these tiny organisms function and interact with their surroundings.
