Information for International Students

Congratulations and a very warm welcome to the NTU EEE family.

On this page, you can find essential information to help you with the administrative procedures to ease your matriculation into NTU and settling in Singapore. While we aim to provide accurate information, we are not responsible for discrepancies or the content on third-party sites.

All students travelling into Singapore, must adhere to the stipulated guidelines by the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA). Please visit this link for more information, before making any travel plan to Singapore: https://www.ntu.edu.sg/admissions/graduate/gfreshmenguide/immigration-for-international-students

Visa Matters

If your application is successful, ICA will issue you an In-Principle Approval (IPA) letter. Your Student’s Pass will only be issued if you meet all the requirements stipulated in the letter. You must be in Singapore on a valid immigration pass for the completion of formalities for the Student’s Pass to be issued. If you require a visa to enter Singapore, the visa will be automatically included in your In-Principle Approval (IPA) letter.

You may enter Singapore by producing the IPA letter at the immigration checkpoint, where you will be granted a Visit Pass. Before your Student’s Pass can be issued, you will need to download and acknowledge a copy of the Student’s Pass Terms and Conditions form.

Book STP from ICA or NTU OSE

Step 1: Upload documents: ICA medical examination form (including chest X-ray report, HIV report) terms condition signature. It will need about a week to process.

Step 2: After completion of Step 1, you can make an STP appointment directly after paying S$90. E-appointment ID is the last three digits of the application number on the IPA letter.

Step 3: NTU will also organize the visa collection (OSE) on campus, depending on the email notification, so you do not need to make a special trip to ICA, directly at the designated place on campus to review the materials and record fingerprints on it.
