The Nanyang Ad-Venture
In search for a final year project, year four undergraduate from the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering (MAE), Kang Min Jin (left in photo) met a professor in-charge of the Nanyang Ventures. Little did he expect that his initial intent to learn more about automotive design and processes sparked a whole new adventure for him.
“The Nanyang Venture project gave me the opportunity to build a vehicle from scratch. I now have great respect for all the engineers out there that are building these complex machines.
My proudest achievement came through when my team persevered amidst the challenges faced during the Shell Eco Marathon. Every team member gave the vehicle our all when we faced technical difficulties during the competition itself. It was an absolute honour for me to be their team leader.
My academic journey at MAE has been challenging yet rewarding. It provided me with great breadth and depth, together with opportunities to put what I learnt into practice.”
