Smart & Sustainable Building Technologies (SSBT) at the 4th Annual Construction Excellence event

The Smart & Sustainable Building Technologies (SSBT) team at the Energy Research Institute @ NTU (ERI@N) was invited to present at the 4th Annual Construction Excellence event, held at Suntec Singapore on the 12th November 2019. 

Mr. Christopher Daniel, Head of smart buildings and smart urban services at SSBT shared his perspective on the impact of Smart & Digital building on energy performance. He also presented his vision regarding cost effectiveness of smart systems, occupant involvement in smart buildings and how it can contribute to building’s valuation. His speech concluded with a discussion with the audience (primarily from urban development industry) on the need for decarbonising effort for buildings and how the framework of integrated project management from design to decommissioning of buildings, going through operations and management can be applied to it.
