The English Literature and Art History combination appealed to me because it offered the chance to explore the history of art, visual culture, and museums at a deeper level. I did not get the chance to study art previously at junior college and this combination came at the right time when I wanted to further my fundamental knowledge of English Literature. The equal weightage for both majors in one degree also encouraged me to pick up transferable skills and make connections between the two disciplines. The programme’s association with NTU CoHASS also encouraged me to think flexibly and diversify my career path, such as exploring fashion journalism and culture writing.
