Why do humans behave differently from each other? Can humans ever truly be rational? Analysing the underlying motivations of humans and debunking the reasons behind human-created phenomena had always been intellectual challenges that I have always enjoyed. Majoring in both Psychology and Economics was a natural progression as both would enable me to develop a deeper empathy towards others and myself through the application of psychological concepts while remaining grounded in systematic and logical reasoning through an economics style of argumentation. I truly enjoyed taking both majors as there was always a comfortable level of cognitive dissonance - Do humans operate emotionally, irrationally on a rational plane, or are we rationally irrational?
