Nobel Laureate Prof Richard Feynman was one of the most influential scientists of the last century. His famous, authoritative Feynman Lectures in Physics for undergraduates are perhaps the most widely used textbooks in Physics. His 'Feynman diagrams' to compute scattering amplitudes revolutionised the field of elementary particle physics. A completely independent thinker and communicator par excellence, Feynman was steered by his own curiosity, and his interests went beyond physics into biology, arts, music etc.
The Centennial Conference was held from 22 to 24 October 2018 at the Nanyang Executive Centre, NTU. It featured eminent scientists who spoke about Feynman's contributions in many areas of physics and beyond, and also discussed where the fields are today.
