Centennial Exhibition: All Possible Paths - Richard Feynman's Curious Paths
Prof Richard Feynman was one of the most influential scientists of the last century. His 'Feynman diagrams' to compute scattering amplitudes revolutionised the field of elementary particle physics, and the concept of Feynman path integrals is used even in Finance today. A completely independent thinker and communicator par excellence, Feynman was steered by his own curiosity, and his interests went beyond physics into biology, arts etc. His teachings offer many valuable lessons for young scientists everywhere.
The Exhibition about Feynman and his works was on display at the ArtScience Museum from 20 October 2018 to 3 March 2019. It was produced and curated by ArtScience Museum, IAS NTU, CQT NUS and the Nobel Museum. The event was organised in conjunction with the Centennial Conference in honour of Prof Feynman held at NTU from 22 to 24 October 2018.
The exhibition opened on 20 October 2018 in a ceremony officiated by Minister Heng Swee Keat, Chairman of the National Research Foundation. All Possible Paths: Richard Feynman’s Curious Life explored all facets of the Nobel prize-winner’s life, from his deep contributions to physics to his charismatic teaching and notorious pranks.
