Congratulations to our recent PhD graduate Yanbin Xu, who has been awarded second place in the inaugural SCOR Actuarial Awards in Asia Pacific. This prestigious award, established in partnership with the IFoA Foundation, recognizes outstanding actuarial research addressing significant societal challenges. Yanbin’s thesis, titled “Climate Change and Sustainability: An Actuarial Risk Management Perspective”, stood out for its focus on climate risk management and sustainable finance.
