Belleza: NTU Ballroom

Belleza: NTU Ballroom provides an avenue for NTU hall residents to be introduced to and refine their skills in Standard Ballroom dance as part of the Residential Education experience. A relatively new dance genre that can be found nowhere else in NTU, Ballroom dance allows NTU students to step out of their comfort zone, expand their repertoires and socialize through partner and social dancing.

Through this programme, NTU students will foster an appreciation for Standard Ballroom dance, namely the Waltz, Tango, Quickstep, Foxtrot and Viennese Waltz. Belleza enriches university hall experience through the medium of dance, creating a like-minded hall community in which members' shared interest in and appreciation of dance as an artistic form of expression can be kindled and nurtured.

I’ve always been very interested in Standard Ballroom Dance and I’m glad that RE decided to have a program dedicated to it because I can finally pursue it as a hobby. It’s also a great way to destress from studying and all my other commitments. It’s been an amazing journey so far both on and off the dance floor, and it’s so fun practicing with everyone, going for competitions, and just making friends over suppers and meals and even BBQ!
