MAE team Carbonstruction wins 1st Prize in the Kumar Sustainability & Innovation Prize 2023

Sole First Prize in the Kumar Sustainability & Innovation Prize 2023!

Congratulation to Team Carbonstruction, led by Changhong LINGHU from School of MAE for winning the sole first prize in the Kumar Sustainability & Innovation Prize 2023.

The Kumar Sustainability & Innovation Prize, that was launched in January this year, aims to promote entrepreneurship and innovation within the NTU community to develop most promising and impactful solutions and innovation to address sustainability issues benefitting people and society, in Singapore and beyond.

Team Carbonstruction, an interdisciplinary team composed of team members across multiple disciplines, including Changhong LINGHU (Ph.D. Candidate from MAE), Xi Chen (Ph.D. Candidate from CEE), Sun Xiaochen (Master student from NTUpreneur) and Xiao Xiao (Master student from NTUpreneur) , proposed the idea to produce artificial carbon-negative concretes from discharged wastes.
