9th U.S. News Best Global Universities Ranking 2022/2023 – NTU ranked 1st in the world for Materials Science

We are delighted to share that NTU retained its global No 1 position in Materials Science for the fifth consecutive year, in the latest results released by the U.S. News Best Global Universities Ranking 2022/2023. In addition, NTU was ranked No. 1 in Nanoscience & Nanotechnology, Condensed Matter Physics, Physical Chemistry and Energy & Fuel.


The U.S. News & World Report is an authoritative multi-platform publisher of news and information, which also provides analyses of education around the world, based on academic research performance and reputation. The overall Best Global Universities rankings encompassed the top 2,000 institutions spread across 95 countries (up from 1750 institutions across 90 countries last year). The US News & World Report’s global university rankings were calculated using 13 indicators and weights that measure global research performance.
