Winners of the College of Engineering Awards 2023

We are pleased to announce that Professor Ng Kee Woei and Associate Professor Dalton Tay have been recognised for their exemplary achievements in the College of Engineering Awards 2023


The CoE Innovator (Entrepreneurship) Award aims to recognise faculty who have achieved exemplary success in their entrepreneurial pursuits. Prof Ng has demonstrated exceptional knowledge and expertise in translational research. His commitment to innovation across various disciplines has resulted in numerous industry-relevant technology disclosures and patents, including two spin-off companies established.

The CoE Industrial Excellence Award aims to recognise faculty’s success in building effective, functional, and synergistic working collaborations with industry partner(s). Assoc Prof Tay’s research on developing sustainable "biowaste-to-resource" solutions for value-added applications has resulted in several licensed technology disclosures to industry partners, established RCAs, and secured industry funding. 

Prof Ng and Assoc Prof Tay's respective achievements are a testament to their dedication and outstanding contributions within and beyond our School. Our heartiest congratulations on their well-deserved recognition!


About the College of Engineering Awards
The objective of the CoE Awards is to promote the College's twin foci of research and innovation by recognising outstanding CoE faculty’s achievements in these areas. The awards will complement the highly competitive university-level Nanyang Awards, by providing College-level recognition to faculty members. The CoE Awards categories include CoE Research Award, CoE Industrial Excellence Award, CoE Innovator (Entrepreneurship) Award, and CoE Research-Young Faculty Award.
