Dr Zhou Zhaocheng

Dr Zhou Zhao Cheng is Executive Director and Chief Strategy Officer of Haidilao International Holding (a public listed company in Hong Kong Exchange).

Before joining Haidilao International Holding in April 2018, Dr Zhou served as a senior editor, the Associate Chief Sub-Editor and Chief Editor of Zaobao Online, and the Assistant Vice President (New Growth) of Lianhe Zaobao, successively from September 1999 to December 2016. He also served as the Editor of Crossroads with Lianhe Zaobao from April 2009 to October 2015. From January 2017 to March 2018, Dr Zhou served as the Vice President of New Markets of Singapore Press Holdings.

Apart from the Adjunct Associate Professorship with NCPA, he is also a visiting professor of School of Journalism and Communication of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies since September 2014. He also served as a media fellow of the Sanford School of Public Policy of Duke University from January to July 2011. ​​​​​​​

Dr Zhou is now also serving as the President of Jiangsu Association (Singapore) and a standing committee member of the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Chairman of Social Affairs Committee of Singapore Federation of Chinese Clans Association. Dr Zhou’s publications include Language, Politic and Nationalization : Relationship between Nanyang University and Government (1953-1968) ( published in Singapore: Nanyang Technological University,2012); Three Places Across Two Shores: The Singapore's perspective (published in Taipei in 2006) and Elements of enterprise : 100 years of the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry (published in Singapore, 2006). ​​​​

Dr Zhou obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Chinese Studies from Nanjing Normal University in China in June 1994, obtained his Master’s degree in Chinese Studies from the National University of Singapore in June 2000 and obtained his Doctorate degree from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore in January 2007. ​​​​

Dr Zhou’s research areas include history and politics of Singapore, China-Southeast Asian relationship and media-politic relationship. ​​​​​

周兆呈博士现任海底捞国际控股执行董事、首席战略官。

在2018年4月加入海底捞国际控股之前，周博士在新加坡报业控股公司任职19年，先后担任联合早报高级新闻编辑、副编辑主任、联合早报网主编兼早报《新汇点》主编、联合早报助理副总裁（新兴业务）。2017年1月至2018年3月担任新加坡报业控股新兴市场副总裁。

周博士是南洋理工大学南洋公共管理研究生院客座副教授、中国传媒大学客座教授及广东外语外贸大学客座教授。兼任的社会职务包括新加坡中华总商会常务董事、研究与出版委员会副主席，新加坡宗乡会馆联合总会理事、社会事务委员会主任，新加坡江苏会会长等。 ​​​​​​​​

周博士出版的著作包括《语言、政治与国家化》、《两岸三地 点到为止》等。周博士毕业于南京师范大学中文系，先后在新加坡国立大学和南洋理工大学获得硕士和博士学位。 ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

周博士的研究兴趣包括媒体与政治关系、新加坡政治史、中国与东南亚关系等。 ​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
