Dr Liu Yunhua

Dr Liu Yunhua graduated in 1982 in Engineering for his undergraduate degree and completed his MS degree in Management Science in 1986 at Northeastern University in China. He obtained his PhD in Economics from Ohio State University in 1993. He started teaching for Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, since 1994. Dr Liu's research areas cover the economic relationship of ASEAN and China, Urban Economic Policy and Management Issues, and the Chinese Economy. His research papers were published in various journals including Economic Development and Cultural Change, China Economic Review, Journal of Policy Modelling, ASEAN Economic Bulletin, Quarterly Review of Economics and Finance, Global Economy Journal, etc. Dr Liu also serves as a consultant on regional and urban development for governments and enterprises in Singapore and China. His consulting works include Singapore's JTC's transport policy, HDB's housing policy, industrial planning for Chinese cities. In recent years, Dr Liu also works as Executive Director in investment firms in Singapore.

刘云华博士1982年本科毕业于东北大学机械工程系，1986年获东北大学管理学硕士学位，1993年获美国俄亥俄州立大学经济学博士学位。1994-2010在新加坡南洋理工大学南洋商学院及人文与社会科学学院任讲师、助理教授、副教授。2011-2013年任南洋理工大学南洋公共管理研究生院副院长。2013-2017任中国人民大学公共管理学院城市规划与管理系教授、博士生导师，兼任城市与区域发展研究中心主任。现任南洋理工大学兼职讲师，中国人民大学兼职教授、华侨大学新加坡分校学术委员会主任、新加坡卓越投资公司执行董事。刘博士的研究领域包括城市与区域经济发展战略、中国经济发展问题，东南亚与中国经济贸易关系等。他有多篇学术论文先后发表于国际学术期刊如《公共管理评论》、《经济发展与文化变迁》、《发展经济学评论》、《中国经济评论》、《政策模型杂志》、《经济与金融季度评论》、《国际消费者市场杂志》、《全球经济杂志》、《城市观察》等杂志。刘云华博士曾是新加坡政府经济发展策略修订委员会成员并多次为新加坡政府提供城市管理政策咨询，并曾在中国多个城市为政府官员和企业家进行城市和区域经济发展讲座等。
