The COVID-19 pandemic has affected the world in an unprecedented way, causing significant disruption to economies, education, and societies. As the ripple effects of the pandemic spread across the globe, it also exposed the impact and challenges the crisis has created in the higher education sector. Countries have fixated on combating the virus and implemented school lockdowns and switched to online courses.  Universities need to swiftly adjust themselves to the shift in globalisation, interdisciplinary talent nurturing and technological innovation.
