Call for Paper

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has become an important driving force in leading a new round of scientific and industrial revolution, opening a new era of intelligence in human society. The AI and Public Policy International Conference aims to bring together researchers and practitioners to share their innovative research, best insights and practices regarding the opportunities and challenges brought by AI in public policy and governance. By engaging in presentation and discussion on relevant theoretical and practical issues, the conference enables the establishment of innovative theoretical implications for academia and provides practical recommendations for public officials.

The two-day conference will be held in Singapore on 15-16 November 2024 and organized by Nanyang Centre for Public Administration (NCPA) at Nanyang Technological University (NTU). We cordially invite you to submit your abstract (no more than 500 words) or panel proposal in conjunction with the conference themes, Policy for AI and AI for Policy. We specifically welcome theoretical, empirical, practical, and comparative studies on AI and public policy. Topics include, but not limited to:

1. Context-specific opportunities and challenges of AI
2. Technology assessment of AI
3. Economic analysis of AI
4. Science policy for AI
5. Public governance of AI
6. Application of AI in education
7. Application of AI in social science research
8. Application of AI in public service and management

Key deadlines
Submission of abstract: 31 August 2024
Notification of acceptance: 15 September 2024
Conference registration: 30 September 2024
Conference dates: 15-16 November 2024

Panel Sessions
For authors who wish to propose a panel session, please contact the conference organizing team @ [email protected] and submit your panel proposal by 15 July 2024. Proposals for panels must include a panel title, panel description (300-word maximum), one Chairperson and information of 3-4 papers.
