Alumni Networking Lunch in Singapore

On February 4, 2023, the Nanyang Centre for Public Administration (NCPA) held an alumni networking lunch in Singapore. Associate Professor Wang Jue, Director of NCPA, along with Deputy Directors Dr Dai Shiyan and Mr Wang Hang, and a large group of alumni, instructors, student representatives, and administrative staff, participated in the gathering to celebrate the start of the lunar Year of the Rabbit.

In her welcome address, Assoc Prof Wang expressed her delight to meet everyone again after a three-year suspension of such a celebration event due to the COVID-19 pandemic. She expressed her gratitude to the alumni and instructors for their support and contribution to NCPA, and hoped that the event would help further enhance the relationship between the alumni and Centre, while expanding NCPA’s global network.

The alumni present are mostly graduates of three Master's programmes taught in English, including Master of Social Sciences in China and Global Governance (previously named Master of Arts in Contemporary China), Master of Public Administration, and Master of Science in Managerial Economics. Part of them also came from the two Master's programmes taught in Chinese, namely, Executive Master of Science in Management Economics and Executive Master of Public Administration . The majority of these alumni are Singaporean citizens, permanent residents, or residents frequently staying in Singapore.

In addition to this event, NCPA also plans to hold more alumni gatherings in multiple locations across China this year, in an aim to reconnect with more alumni offline.

The networking event ended by a big group photo with all the teachers and students, classmates and alumni, capturing the warm and joyous atmosphere of the NCPA community.
