Inaugural Alumni Regional Conference kicks off in Indonesia
Over 200 NTU alumni reconnected and forged lasting networking opportunities at NTU’s inaugural Alumni Regional Conference, held in Jakarta, Indonesia on 26 Aug.
The conference gathers participants from across the ASEAN region, comprising Indonesian start-up founders, venture capitalists, and government representatives to exchange views on pertinent business topics and network with other alumni and invited industry partners.
The full-day conference consists of the NTU Singapore - Indonesia Dialogue in the morning and a series of panel discussions featuring leading alumni speakers in the afternoon.
The NTU Singapore–Indonesia Dialogue: Driving Partnership in Innovation and Entrepreneurship is a high-level thought leadership programme with Dr Muhammad Tito Karnavian, Minister of Home Affairs, Republic of Indonesia, as the keynote speaker. The dialogue is graced by both Singapore’s Ambassador to Indonesia and Indonesia’s Ambassador to Singapore.
In the afternoon, across three separate panel discussions, panellists comprising leading NTU alumni, including chief executives of financial institutions, founders of edutech companies, entrepreneurs, investors and venture capitalists, share their views on staying ahead in Indonesia’s start-up scene; the changing landscape of education; and the opportunities and challenges arising from the digital economy.
