With the ability to solve complex problems at lightning-fast speeds, quantum computers have the potential to revolutionise fields ranging from weather forecasting to drug discovery. However, several challenges remain before quantum computers can be widely used.

In quantum technology applications such as quantum computing, light plays a central role in encoding and transmitting information.

From developing a photon emitter that generates photons on demand to devising a photonic chip that can predict the chemical properties of molecules, NTU scientists are bringing quantum computing to light.
