Evidence Ecosystem in “Close-to-Practice” Research: Conceptualising and Maximising Research Impact at the National Institute of Teaching (NIoT)

Join us on 21 November 2024 where Prof Sin-Wang Chong and Dr Calum Davey will talk about the opportunities and challenges associated with conducting “close-to-practice” research. Informed by Ecological Systems Theory, participants are invited to reimagine “close-to-practice” research as an evidence ecosystem, underscoring the symbiotic relationship among evidence creation, evidence translation, and evidence implementation. They will also share projects held at the NIoT where they were designed not only to design and conduct research, but also maximise the sector’s engagement with and impact of their research by pinpointing the principles, mechanisms, and infrastructure.
