Dr Kenneth Y T Lim’s Mentee Mr Tan Boon Hing Wins Award at the Global Undergraduate Awards
Dr Kenneth Y T Lim, Research Scientist at the Centre for Research in Pedagogy and Practice, has been mentoring Mr Tan Boon Hing, an NTU undergraduate, under the auspices of the university’s Undergraduate Research Experience on Campus (URECA) programme, over the past year, and Mr Tan’s efforts have been recognised during the Global Undergraduate Awards 2021.
Mr Tan, a final year student from NTU’s School of Computer Science and Engineering, worked alongside Dr Lim and team from 2020 and 2021 to port the Socially Responsible Behaviour through Embodied Thinking (SORBET) Project from the desktop platform to tablets and smartphones.
He has won Highly Commended in the Education category in this year’s Global Undergraduate Awards. The Global Undergraduate Awards are the world’s leading undergraduate awards programme which recognises top undergraduate work, shares this work with a global audience and connects students across cultures and disciplines. Each year, work submitted by undergraduates is anonymously assessed by a panel of international academics and industry leaders.
Congratulations to Mr Tan Boon Hing!
