Guru pelita menerangi jalan: Maliki

Berita Harian highlighted the Caring Teacher Awards 2022, given to outstanding teachers who demonstrated commitment to the holistic development of their students, on 27/9. Organised by NIE, four teachers were presented the National Level Award and six received the National Commendation Award at a ceremony held at the NUS High School of Mathematics and Science. The biennial awards were supported by ExxonMobil Asia Pacific and MOE. In 2022, about 11,000 nominations from 239 schools were submitted, almost double the 6,000 nominations from 225 schools received in 2020.  
  
In his speech, Guest-of-Honour 2M thanked teachers for their continued commitment to their students in spite of the dynamic situation brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic. 2M added that teachers have left a deep, positive impact on their students, and were an inspiration to all.
