NTU Homecoming 2024 – A Heartening Gathering of Alumni

 

On 19 October 2024, the NIE Alumni Association (AA) Reunion kicked off with a warm Welcome Address by Mr Bernard Tung, President of the NIE AA. This was followed by an Icebreaker Activity, offering alumni a fun and interactive opportunity to connect. Before concluding, Mr Tung introduced the NIE AA EXCO members, provided updates on major activities planned for 2025—such as the NIE 75th Anniversary Celebration—and shared about the NIE Wellness Centre.

After the reunion, Dr Mark Lim, CEO and co-founder of Aliena, delivered an insightful presentation on "Emerging Systems: Keeping Singapore Relevant through Innovation.” Dr Lim discussed Singapore’s energy future and delved into the latest development of energy solutions, from geothermal discoveries to advancements in nuclear technology. A Q&A session allowed attendees to engage with Dr Lim and share their thoughts.

The reunion offered valuable opportunities for connection, learning, and discussion among alumni.
