Science of Learning Symposium 2023

On 2 November 2023, the Science of Learning in Education Centre organised the Science of Learning Symposium 2023. Themed “Building the Future of Education with Science of Learning’, the symposium delved into the transformative world of education, spotlighting socio-emotional development with presentations from esteemed keynoters Professor Rebecca Ang from Psychology and Child & Human Development Academic Group, Assistant Professor Hae Yeon Lee from the National University of Singapore and Professor Michelle Ellefson from the University of Cambridge. There were also enlightening project presentations, hands-on workshops and an engaging panel discussion with our presenters and Professor Ng Huck Hui, Assistant Chief Executive for Research and Talent Development and Chief Scientific Advisor of the Institute of Molecular and Cell Biology (IMCB), under the Agency for Science, Technology and Research, moderated by Professor Kenneth Poon, Dean of Education Research, Office of Education Research. The event was graced by Professor Christine Goh, NIE Director where she gave an opening address and about 200 attendees participated the symposium.
