Support the Legacy of Professor Sim Wong Kooi and Empower Future Educators
We invite you to make a lasting impact on the future of Physical Education graduates through a special initiative. A dedicated team of former and current NIE colleagues, in collaboration with NTU and MOE, has established a named endowed fund in honor of the late Professor Sim Wong Kooi, the 4th Director of the Institute of Education (IE).
Professor Sim played a pivotal role in founding the College of Physical Education and creating the Diploma in Physical Education (DipPE) programme during his tenure as IE Director.
How You Can Make a Difference:
Endowed Gold Medal: To honour Professor Sim's legacy, a minimum of $75,000 is required to establish a named endowed Gold Medal, which will be presented annually, in perpetuity, to top graduating students from the DipPE programme.
Endowed Book Prize: Alternatively, a named endowed Book Prize can be established with a minimum of $40,000, continuing Professor Sim’s commitment to excellence in education.
Your support—whether you are an alumnus, student teacher, undergraduate student, graduate student, or colleague—will ensure that Professor Sim's passion for education and physical fitness continues to inspire future generations.
Be part of this meaningful cause by making a donation and ensuring that his dedication to nurturing educators lives on through these prestigious awards.
