Programme Overview

The FlexiMasters in Technopreneurship and Innovation is a specially designed, government subsidised micro-credential programme for working professionals who are looking to learn about entrepreneurship, the essential skillsets required, and turning novel ideas into successful ventures.

All courses will be held online via the NTU Virtual Learning Environment.

Programme Details

The FlexiMasters in Technopreneurship and Innovation equips participants with essential entrepreneurial skills and business acumen to turn novel ideas into successful ventures. This FlexiMasters offers a springboard for participants with entrepreneurial intentions to work with leading educators, researchers, inventors and business leaders around the world.

Upon successful completion of this programme, participants will be able to transfer earned credits towards the Master of Science in Technopreneurship and Innovation degree*.

The programme is part of:

  • Graduate Certificate in Technopreneurship and Innovation (9 AU)
  • FlexiMasters in Technopreneurship and Innovation (15 AU)
  • Masters in Technopreneurship and Innovation (30 AU)

*To be eligible for the credit transfer from FlexiMasters in Technopreneurship and Innovation to the Master of Science in Technopreneurship and Innovation, participants would need to opt for credit bearing for all 5 courses and achieve the GPA of 2.5 for the FlexiMasters in Technopreneurship and Innovation programme. Participants will also be subjected to the admission criteria of the  Master of Science in Technopreneurship and Innovation.

Course 1: CET6001 Introduction to Entrepreneurship
Introduces entrepreneurship and innovation concepts, and the entrepreneurial approach to new venture creation. Students learn to develop and apply entrepreneurial thinking systematically, with an emphasis on conceptualisation, planning, and starting of a business.

Course 2: CET6002 Entrepreneurial Marketing and Business Development
Introduces the marketing framework and business development strategies, supplemented with specific methodologies and tools to apply in real-life entrepreneurship scenarios.

Course Duration: 9 Jan 2027 - 27 Feb 2027

Course 3: CET6003 New Venture Financing
Illustrates entrepreneurial financing from both the perspective of an entrepreneur looking to build his venture and the perspective of a venture capitalist looking to invest in promising start-ups.

Course 4: CET6006 Managing Growing Ventures
Introduces the framework of entrepreneurial management and strategies for startups seeking venture growth. Related topics of leadership, operations, human resources, supply chain, legal and regulatory issues are discussed in a ‘hands-on’ format.

Course 5: CET6007 Technopreneurial Mindset
Presents a series of distinguished technology expert talks and facilitated reviews to walk the students through the specialised fields relating to technopreneurship and innovation, enabling students to develop a technopreneurship mindset.

Assessment

To meet the requirement of the FlexiMasters in Technopreneurship and Innovation, assessment(s) will be conducted during every course. The assessment(s) include:

  • Class Participation and Attendance
  • Assignments and Quizzes
  • Individual and Group Projects
  • Final Exam
