Transfer of Animals

IACUC approval is required for the transfer of animals either within an institution or across institutions. PIs must complete the Animal Transfer Agreement Form and submit it via email to [email protected] at least 2 weeks prior to the planned transfer date.

* This form is required even if transferring animals between a PI’s own protocols. Following IACUC’s approval of this transfer, PIs must log this animal movement on ERMP so that animal numbers are captured under the right protocol.

• Animal transfers are done through the Animal Management > Experimental Stock / Breeding Stock modules.
