Tissue Banking under HBRA

Appropriate consent requirements for donation of human tissue, in addition to those required for human biomedical research (HBR), include the following:  

- Must be obtained in writing (no waivers of written consent)
- From the tissue donor personally or their legal proxies
- Elements in Section 12(2)
- Obtained in the presence of a Witness.
