What does it take for AM to move beyond? This webinar will continue to explore the grand challenges of AM as a sunrise industry and its potential for growth. There will be two talks followed by a panel discussion. The panel discussion will be moderated by Prof Paulo Bartolo, SC3DP Executive Director.

Professor Moataz Attallah
Prof. Moataz Attallah holds a chair in advanced materials processing at the School of Metallurgy and Materials University of Birmingham. His research focuses on developing a metallurgical understanding of the material-process interaction in additive manufacturing of metallic materials focusing on the process impact on the microstructure and structural integrity development. His research is conducted through research partnerships with various companies in the aerospace, defence, medical, space, and nuclear energy sectors. He co-authored over 160 journal and conference papers, 3 book chapters, and is a co-inventor on 8 patent applications.
Mr Amit Dror
An entrepreneur, Amit Dror is the Co-Founder, Director and CSO of Nano Dimension, the world’s leading additive electronics provider. Since 2014 to 2020, Mr Dror was CEO of the Nano Dimension. He started in the Telecoms industry and spent a decade at ECI and Comverse, before co-founding his first start-up, Eternegy Ltd in 2010, which focused on solar power and environmentally friendly electricity generation. Mr Dror co-founded the Milk & Honey Whiskey Distillery. Israel’s first ever whisky distillery, the company produces each whisky to the highest standards. Mr. Dror has a background that covers technology management, software, business development, fundraising and complex project execution. Mr Dror is a Merage Institute Graduate.
