Seminar on Exploring New Horizons in Additive Manufacturing by Professor Bahattin Koç

 

 

Following an enlightening seminar hosted by the Singapore Centre for 3D Printing (SC3DP), led by Professor Bahattin Koç from Sabancı University (SU) on 5th June, attendees were left inspired and informed about the cutting-edge advancements in additive manufacturing (AM). Professor Koç's presentation explored the realm of metal AM, highlighting its potential to revolutionise conventional manufacturing processes. Insights from the Sabancı University Integrated Manufacturing Center deepened attendees' understanding of hybrid AM processes and computational design techniques for creating functionally graded material (FGM) parts. From aerospace to automotive industries, Professor Koç discussed the diverse applications of AM technology, emphasising its transformative impact across various sectors. The seminar imparted valuable knowledge and sparked discussions on the future of manufacturing. Attendees were interested to integrate these newfound insights into their own endeavours, propelling the realm of AM into uncharted territories of innovation.
